Raspberry Red Chile Jam Bites

This appetizer is a showstopper we created for our Holiday 2021 Host Box. It checks all the boxes for us when thinking about throwing together for guests: it’s easy, quick, and packed with flavor. The contrasting colors of the deep burgundy hues from the jam and white cheese make this app really pop, perfectly festive for this holiday season…and beyond!

Takes: 15 minutes

Makes 12 appetizer bites

  • 5-6 sprigs fresh rosemary

  • 1/3 cup neutral oil (canola or

    grapeseed)

  • 1/2 cup Raspberry Red Chile Jam

  • 8 oz mascarpone

  • 12 slices baguette, toasted

  • Pinches of Desert Provisions Sonoran Sea Salt

Heat oil in a heavy skillet to 375 degrees. De-stem rosemary and place in skillet once oil is at temp. Fry for 30 seconds making sure not to burn. Remove using a wire ladle or slotted spoon. Dry on paper towels.

Spread mascarpone on all 12 toasts. Add dollop of Raspberry Red Chile Jam.

Sprinkle with Sonoran Sea Salt and garnish with fried rosemary. Plate and serve.
